In short: New watch faces in watchOS 26.5 +++ Formula 1 in Apple Maps | News

There is still no way to design any watch face for watchOS, but at least Apple regularly delivers updated designs. It’s almost that time again, because code finds in the beta of watchOS 26.5 refer to “Pride Luminance”. This is probably the annual color scheme, which always appears on the occasion of Pride Month, but is also popular outside of the Pride community. Visually, according to previous reports, the design is based on a luminous, prismatic effect, which Mark Gurman from Bloomberg shares via X.

Apple usually not only implements the design for the Apple Watch, but also offers corresponding bracelets and wallpapers for iPhones, iPads and Macs. The release is expected to take place with system version 26.5, which will probably take place in mid to late May.

Formula 1 in Apple Maps
As is well known, Apple has secured the broadcast rights to Formula 1 in the USA. However, this is not just limited to broadcasting the races; instead, the company also offers additional offers in several ways. One of them can be found in the in-house map app. Fans can explore all 24 Grand Prix tracks in Apple Maps via the “2026 Formula 1 Tracks Around the World” section. Apple is continuing its cross-marketing, which now extends across very different media categories,

For several racetracks, Apple provides more detailed 3D renderings, such as grandstands, pit buildings, paddock areas and prominent buildings around the track. So far these include Albert Park in Melbourne, the Miami International Autodrome, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Monaco, as well as Barcelona-Catalunya, the Red Bull Ring and Silverstone. Apparently the expansion is not yet at the same level on all routes, because in some cases there are only simple building blocks, but in others there are very detailed implementations.
