The “Self Repair” program takes into account the legal requirements in numerous countries and US states that repairs must also be carried out by non-specialist workshops. Another important aspect of the program is technical documentation and repair manuals. In these, Apple describes in great detail which steps should be followed for common repairs.

If you don’t want to repair it yourself, you’ll still find lots of interesting pictures in the documents – which don’t differ all that much from the well-known disassembly reports on iFixit and allow you to take a look at the inner workings. This week, Apple released numerous additional “repair manuals” to cover the most recently updated products. The complete catalog can be accessed free of charge via Apple’s self-service repair store. The MacBook Neo is just as included as the iPhone 17e and the other new devices. German-language versions are not yet available.

Apple enthusiastic about the F1 start on Apple TV – user criticism of advertising
Apple rates the premiere of the new F1 broadcast via Apple TV as a success. Services chief Eddy Cue told The Hollywood Reporter that viewership for the 2026 Australian GP was higher than last year, when the race was on ESPN. As usual, Apple does not provide exact figures. For comparison: The Australian GP 2025 reached 1.1 million viewers on ESPN.

According to the report, Apple clearly treats Formula 1 as a priority. The series permanently complements Apple’s live sports portfolio alongside MLS and MLB – but is being promoted even more intensively. While ESPN made Formula 1 more popular again in the USA, it remained more of a secondary topic there. At Apple, however, the racing series is now being actively developed and prioritized, with the aim of creating a long-term, sustainable fan base in the USA.

According to feedback so far, Apple’s broadcast offer was convincing in terms of the image quality it offers – although there are numerous complaints about the display of self-advertising, which sometimes even obscures relevant content.
