In short: DuckDuckGo’s AI-free mode is a hit +++ Lamine Yamal shows new Beats headphones | News

The classic web search process using a search bar and a list of relevant websites is no longer considered the preferred method by Google. With the introduction of AI summaries, the user experience changed significantly – much to the chagrin of those who produce content but receive less and less traffic for it. Google announced the next big step at Google I/O, because the “intelligent search box” will work more like a chatbot.

There is now also a countermovement, which is represented by Mozilla (AI “kill switch”, see report) or DuckDuckGo with the AI-free search (no AI options, fewer AI images than results). The latter appears to be enjoying growing popularity – according to the operator, access to it has tripled since Google’s announcement, and app installations on iOS have increased by 70 percent. If not using a new technology can now be promoted as a benefit, this is certainly a remarkable development – and shows how many users have become tired of the topic.

Lamine Yamal shows off new Beats headphones
In the Beats segment, Apple has been using a tried-and-tested format to announce new products for years. Even before the official launch, you regularly see celebrities appearing in public with headphones that haven’t actually been released yet. After new Apple headphones appeared in an FCC database a few days ago, the secret can now be considered revealed.

This time, the footballer Lamine Yamal was allowed to be the face of the advertising, the 18-year-old who has been impressing in professional sports (FC Barcelona) for two years and is considered a child prodigy. Several photos and a video clip appeared on his Instagram account showing previously unknown Beats headphones. Until the official launch, however, it remains unclear whether this will be a new edition of the Beats Studio Pro or an additional series.
