In short: Creator Studio apps are more data hungry +++ iPhone 16e and iPhone Air with faltering internet at Telekom | News

Since the end of January, some of Apple’s Pro apps have been available as a bundle via a monthly or annual subscription: The Creator Studio includes Mac and iPad applications; In the case of the iWork suite, the iPhone apps, which are expanded to include AI features, also benefit. Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Motion and Co. are still available for purchase as standalone software in the Mac App Store. They differ not only in terms of the icons and the range of functions with regard to AI tools: In fact, these applications do not collect any user data, as the example of Final Cut Pro shows.

The situation is different with the versions of the Creator Studio: Cupertino reserves the right to collect a whole range of data. Some of these are linked to the user. This may well be justified given the subscription model for payment processing, although it does not explain some of the data.

Gaming feature causes problems for iPhone 16e and iPhone Air
Complaints from Telekom customers with an iPhone 16e or iPhone Air have been piling up for a few days now. What both devices have in common is that the C1 or C1X uses a mobile communications chip that was developed by Apple. Those affected report that no data is being transmitted despite existing reception. In some cases, activating airplane mode for around ten seconds seems to help – until the problem reappears after a while.

In fact, the iPhone 16e and iPhone Air seem to have difficulties with the data connection when Telekom’s “5G+ Gaming” option is switched on. The function is intended to ensure better streaming of games and reduce latency. Those affected who switch off the free bookable option can use the mobile Internet with their devices without any problems again.
