Apple seems to have achieved a coup with the Apple Sports application: It is one of the company’s best-rated apps and is available free of charge for all iPhones with at least iOS 17.2 installed. In fact, the software impresses with its clear and attractive design. To stay up to date, the app also supports live activities with real-time updates and widgets for the home screen. It is also prepared for the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA: Apple gave the app some features for the World Cup and is now adding a separate entry. This way you can add the tournament as a favorite. Users also get the option to select individual teams to track their results. 
The almost 62 megabyte Apple Sports application has also been available in the App Store in Germany since September 2025. However, there is no version for the iPad, Mac or Vision Pro.

On April 1st, Apple celebrated the company’s 50th anniversary and celebrated the day with, among other things, a concert by Paul McCartney, who performed many of his most important songs for the employees in Apple Park. The company also welcomed visitors to the website with some animations, which, among other things, presented the most important products. Anyone who would like to join in the celebrations can do so using separate screen backgrounds. These are not provided by Apple, but Basic Apple Guy once again provides a solution. This is an Apple logo that gives the impression that it was drawn with colored pencils. Cupertino used it, among other things, in a press release for the anniversary. Users can choose between a white and a black background.
