Apple told Macrumors that connection problems with the Australian emergency call via mobile communications were the most important aspect of the new version. Apple Watch models from Series 6 to 10, Ultra, Ultra 2 and SE 2 that have watchOS 11 installed will see it. The update for watchOS that has now been released comes three days after Apple made updates for watchOS 10, 9 and 6 available for download.
Zuckerberg equated Instagram with iMessage
The Meta Group was the target of public criticism in 2021: whistleblowers brought to light the results of internal investigations that documented a negative effect on the psyche of girls and young women. A reaction from the company’s founder has also become public: In an email, Mark Zuckerberg called for fewer investigations into the harmful effects of his own platforms in the future.
“Apple doesn’t do that either”
In an email marked confidential, the Meta CEO stated that Apple does not conduct research into the negative impacts of their offerings. He made reference to iMessage – this seemed to him to be an appropriate analogue to Instagram on Apple’s platform. Since Apple neither moderates nor carries out investigations on its in-house messenger, the Meta group should take an example and also refrain from doing this on Instagram. The email became public because it was seized as evidence in a trial in New Mexico. The company is accused of presenting the Instagram platform as harmless to young people – even though the negative effects had long been known internally.
