Harmony and energy systems become flexible

#StartupsToWatch

“We are solving a central problem of the energy transition,” says Lucas Jonas, founder of the start-up company Harmonie. Vireo Ventures, SIVentures, Saxovent and Co. recently invested 2.2 million euros in the Cologne-based young company, which was founded in 2025.

One of the many startups that you should definitely keep an eye on is the million-dollar Cologne startup harmony. The startup, founded in 2025 by Lucas Jonas, Paul Ziche, José Neri and Jonathan Schulte, positions itself as an “Energy-as-a-Service provider for German medium-sized businesses”. The team wants to help commercial and industrial customers “automatically purchase electricity when it is available in a cost-effective and renewable manner.”

“We are solving a central problem of the energy transition: While energy-intensive industrial companies are relieved through special regulations, medium-sized businesses continue to pay high electricity prices. The causes are not the renewable energies themselves, but rather price volatility, high network fees, load peaks and a lack of flexibility in consumption. We want to change that with our solution,” says founder Lucas Jonas.

The Berlin early-stage financier Vireo Ventures, the Leipzig early-stage investor SIVentures, Saxovent, Angel Invest, Heimatboost and DNA Ventures recently invested 2.2 million euros in the young company, which was represented on the pitch stage at STARTUPLAND in 2025.

“The decisive factor for our investment was the exceptionally strong team at EINER with its practical experience from previous start-ups and industry know-how. Harmony pursues the clear vision of a decentralized full-service provider for flexible energy systems in medium-sized companies. The current regulatory framework opens up great potential for integrated solutions from battery storage, PV, dynamic tariffs and intelligent control,” says Felix Krause from Vireo Ventures. Vireo now holds 13% in line.
