My dear readers!

I would like to wish you a happy and healthy New Year! 2026 is a Mercury year; according to astrology, Mercury stands for communication, exchange, learning, thinking, traveling and networking. This influence should be particularly noticeable from the beginning of spring in March.

Overall, the new year is described as dynamic, change-oriented and full of possibilities, with periods of reflection, important changes in perspective and opportunities for our personal growth.

So we can look forward to 2026. After all the changes in the last few years, I think it’s time for more communication and trust.

Today I would like to introduce you to a hotel that we liked so much that it stands out among all the hotels we have visited so far in winter! We will remember it for a long time because it is different and cannot be compared!

Hotel Edelweiss in Lech Zürs am Arlberg

For most skiers, the reason for going on a ski holiday is to have fun in the snow.

Up here at 1790 m you are guaranteed snow throughout the entire ski season. The ski lifts can be reached in a few minutes, and the slopes start and end right next to the hotel. Everything revolves around the perfect piste conditions that you will find here. I emphasize this because we have noticed for years that everywhere in Austria it looks more like spring than winter. Of course this has to do with global warming. We are regularly in Tyrol, the Stubaital, etc. every winter.

There was hardly any snow to be seen in December. Sure, there is artificial snow on the slopes, but it is green in the valley. Things are different up here in Lech Zürs. You drive up and are surrounded by white peaks, which is why I happily accepted the offer from Lech/Zürs Tourism and went snow hiking for the first time. The Hotel Edelweiss only offers lovingly, individually furnished rooms and suites, a fitness room and a “Capri” wellness area with a steam bath. The hotel also rents ski equipment. You can book group ski lessons or private ski instructors. The ski school meeting point is directly in front of the hotel.

Dogs in the hotel

Dogs are more than welcome here! A cozy bed, two bowls, towels for drying off, dog products in the typically colorful design in the Edelweiss shop, treats and a welcome kit are waiting for your four-legged friend in the room. A dog walking service is available upon request.

Riviera Vibes on the Rocks – that’s the motto at Edelweiss this winter. The legendary beach club Anjuna Beach from Eze invites you to a top-class rendezvous on five weekends. DJ sets, signature cocktails and exclusive Mediterranean cuisine come together for an alpine tête-á-tête.

We were there in December and as fans of the south of France we were really impressed, it was very authentic! Even the beach club’s service team was on site.

In the end, the feeling remains that the Hotel Edelweiss is not a place that you simply visit – but a world that you immerse yourself in. A world that is luxurious without being cold.
