If you only think of Berlin when it comes to startups, you’re wrong. Numerous valuable young German companies come from Munich. Whether Trade Republic, Tier Mobility, Egym, Forto or Foodora – the founders and CEOs of all of these successful startups have one thing in common: they are alumni of the Munich universities and attended Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM).
9 CDTM Alumni Unicorns
So is the CDTM Germany’s secret unicorn factory? Chris Pisarski, co-founder of the startup Crustdata, found that almost 20 percent of German unicorns were set up by CDTM alumni: He counts nine unicorns with CDTM alumni as founders or co-founders. These include:
