But can such a European solution actually keep up with ChatGPT, Copilot and Co.?
Artificial intelligence has gained enormous momentum in recent years. Since the publication of ChatGPT at the end of 2022, AI has reached the masses.

Is Langdock an alternative to ChatGPT and Co.?
Langdock makes it possible to roll out “AI safely and flexibly” throughout the company – as it says on the company’s own website. However, as an all-in-one AI platform, Langdock does not use its own, completely self-developed language model, but rather relies on various existing AI models.
Teams use Langdock in chat for daily support, automating workflows, researching internal documents, and building their own AI applications – all with full GDPR compliance and enterprise-grade security guarantees.
These can be combined as needed while adhering to European data protection standards. Langdock also integrates AI models from Google, OpenAI or Meta, among others – but embeds them in a data protection-compliant environment.
Langdock thus combines the various available AI models in a central, clear interface. However, what differs from the use of ChatGPT and Co.: The data is processed when used in Germany.
Data protection at Langdock
When it comes to data protection, Langdock primarily relies on strict European standards and technical security. Due to hosting in the EU, the processing of data is subject to the requirements of the GDPR.
Langdock acts as an intermediate step between the user and the AI model. Before a request is forwarded to external AI providers, sensitive information is anonymized or removed.

However, the AI solution could be an alternative for privacy-conscious users. Those who like to test or use different AI models will also get their money’s worth.
The platform is aimed primarily at large teams that want to use AI and control it centrally. Therefore, the AI solution also offers extensive team functions as well as central admin controls, which are often not available in this form with offers like ChatGPT Plus.
At Langdock, admins can specify in detail who has access to which AI models and functions. The aim is to protect sensitive company data and to specifically control the use of AI in the company.
