Creator Studio: Actual AI limits differ significantly from Apple’s information | News

There are a whole range of apps and tools for creating presentations. Keynote is particularly suitable for the Mac, iPad and iPhone: Most of the software’s functions are free and anyone who has several Apple devices and works on a file with them can keep them synchronized without any further action thanks to iCloud. If you want to spice up the presentation with images, you can of course do so – and now even use a built-in AI tool for this, provided you have a Creator Studio subscription. However, the usage limit is not too generous.

Troughton-Smith: Two keynote presentations push AI limits
Developer and security researcher Steve Troughton-Smith shares his experience with agentic coding in Xcode on Mastodon: The integration of OpenAI’s Codex works very well and the results are impressive. The feature makes it possible to develop one or two apps daily. Troughton-Smith’s first application also only used seven percent of the weekly codex limit. He makes an interesting comparison: He designed a lousy presentation using Keynote, which took up 47 percent of his monthly Creator Studio AI limit. The discrepancy is striking, as John Gruber also notes on Daring Fireball: A single presentation should exploit the usage restrictions far less than programming a good app.

Strong deviation from Apple’s information
Apple’s calculation also makes a somewhat more generous impression: Cupertino promises around 50 presentations before the artificial intelligence quits the service. However, these only contain eight to ten slides. Furthermore, automatically created moderation notes could be created for a total of 700 slides per month. In fact, the limits seem to be even tighter for most users. To view previous consumption, users must open Keynote, call up the item of the same name in the menu bar and then click on “Intelligence functions” > “View usage status”.
