+++ In addition to topics such as DefenseTech, AI and HealthTech, the topic of compliance is also currently booming. This is how the Munich startup collected money Secfixwhich “aims to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) automate their IT security and compliance quickly and easily,” recently raised $12 million. The Viennese startup Finnwhich aims to automate compliance processes for medical device manufacturers and the pharmaceutical industry, recently raised $20 million. Sinpex from Munich, which offers “automated identification and compliance solutions in the B2B environment,” recently raised 10 million euros. The Berlin startup heyDataa compliance-as-a-service platform, recently raised $16.5 million. And last but not least could osapiens from Mannheim recently raised $100 million. This relies on the “development of automated solutions to create transparency and sustainability in global supply chains”. An impressive list that shows that tools relating to the large and broad topic of compliance are currently extremely popular among investors. Especially because large companies and corporations spend a lot of time on these topics. Hopefully, with software, many of these processes can be automated. Cirplus
+++ Offline! The Hamburg startup Cirplus, a digital procurement platform for recycled plastics founded in 2018, is being liquidated. “There is a moment when responsible entrepreneurship means not clinging on at all costs, but returning capital, protecting integrity, and admitting that the current setup of your company no longer offers a viable path forward. Seven and a half years after founding Cirplus, that moment is now,” writes founder Christian Schiller on Linkedin. The recycling company has raised more than 5.5 million in recent years – including from VNV Global, Wepa Ventures, Pale Blue Dot, Entrepreneur First, Nucleus Capital and First Momentum Ventures.
