BREAK/THE WEEK – The tech podcast from BASIC thinking

Friday mornings are about to get even better. With BREAK/THE WEEK, our tech review of the week will now appear every Friday at 6 a.m. so that you can start the weekend perfectly informed and entertained. Now new on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and everywhere podcasts are available.

The tech world doesn’t sleep. Every day there are new reports, new products and new promises. AI that is supposed to change everything. Green Tech that wants to make the world more sustainable. Companies that grow, fail, or reinvent what we take for granted. Keeping track of things is no longer a small matter. This is exactly what BREAK/THE WEEK helps with.

BASIC thinking editor-in-chief Fabian Peters and editor André Gabriel look back on the past week together, classify what was really important and take you behind the scenes of a tech world that is changing faster than ever before.

The focus is deliberately on the topics that go beyond the hype: the interface between technology, green tech and the digital economy, i.e. the developments that will actually shape our coexistence in the future.

BREAK/THE WEEK: The formats at a glance:

  • Good news of the week: Because looking at what works and what succeeds is at least as important as criticism. Good developments in the tech world deserve attention, even if they rarely make headlines.
  • Headline Buzz: The topics that everyone has been talking about this week – summarized in a compact way so that you can start the weekend with a good overview.
  • BREAK/THE NEWS: The popular format from our daily tech briefing UPDATE finds its way into our podcast. What’s really behind the most important tech news of the week? What has substance, what is just noise?
  • Yes or No: The conclusion of each episode. A short, concise barrage of questions that shows where our two podcasters stand. No long explanations, clear attitude – and enough space for you to participate.

BREAK/THE WEEK is not a news format. It is an authentic offer for everyone who not only wants to consume tech topics, but also wants to understand them. And for everyone who doesn’t want to be left behind in our fast-moving times if you don’t follow the news ticker 24/7.

New episodes of BREAK/THE WEEK appear every Friday at 6 a.m. You can subscribe to BREAK/THE WEEK wherever podcasts are available: on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, YouTube or Deezer. At the start we would be very happy about a subscription and a positive review. By doing this you support our work. Thank you!
