Siri handles combined requests
Anyone who presents a request to Siri usually needs patience: the individual commands have to be given one after the other in order to achieve the desired results. Evil tongues would even claim that Siri often cannot cope with even simple instructions. According to Bloomberg, Apple wants to significantly improve Siri’s language understanding with iOS 27: Siri will be able to combine requests in the future. It would then be possible, for example, to ask the voice assistant about the weather, create a calendar entry and send a message without having to schedule multiple times.
Is Apple expanding autocorrect?
Apple is also working on upgrading the on-screen keyboard with AI. The company is particularly targeting autocorrection: In the future, this could suggest alternative words and follow an approach known from tools like Grammarly. The writing assistant also addresses spelling, grammar, punctuation and style and suggests alternatives if necessary. However, it is still unclear whether these functions will actually be included in iOS 27.
AI tools in beta status
Apple will probably present many of the innovations on June 8th at a WWDC event. It is not certain whether the first beta builds will come with the revamped voice assistant. Some of the features may also require some development time before they are fully developed: The existing functions of Apple Intelligence are all labeled “beta” to date.
