Apple TV: Silo Season 3 – Trailer +++ Star City launched, first feedback | News

The sci-fi series “Silo” has been a huge success on Apple’s TV streaming service with two seasons so far. If you looked for criticism, it would primarily be about the depiction being too dark – literally meant, because light-filled environments are not the focus. For season 3, the producers promised to look for places that could be seen well without maximum brightness settings.

You can see for yourself from July 3rd, when the first of ten new episodes will begin broadcasting. Apple has also now released the trailer. Silo tells of a society of around 10,000 people living in a huge underground silo, while the outside world is considered deadly and uninhabitable. Season 3 is intended to continue the story in two time levels, but not to conclude it: Season 4 has also already been confirmed.

Star City started, first feedback
With the new series called “Star City”, Apple TV has launched a spin-off to “For All Mankind”. The series is set in the same alternate history universe but changes perspective. While the original series began with the Soviet Union landing on the moon before the United States, creating a never-ending space race, Star City tells more about the Soviet side of this scenario.

So far, the series has been largely well received by viewers and critics. At IMDb, for example, Star City currently has a score of 6.8 out of 10 based on around 940 reviews. It’s not a euphoric start, but it’s still a decent result. A recurring criticism is that the series starts off strong, but then quickly loses itself in slower drama, dialogue and relationships. At the same time, there is praise for the production quality, the development of the main characters and the suspense. But you have to be prepared for a different tone than in For All Mankind – darker, colder, more paranoid and more full of intrigue.
