All creative apps in one go with a subscription
Another prediction also comes true, because the Creator Studio is a “fantastic subscription offer” that can be purchased with monthly or annual fees. If the creative app package is activated from January 28th, you will pay either 12.99 euros per month or 129 euros per year. Free trial access will also be available. There are reduced prices for educational institutions, as it is only 2.99 euros for pupils, students and teachers or 29 euros for annual access. By the way, the purchase of a new Mac or a qualified iPad (A16 and newer, 6 GB RAM) includes three free months. If you compare this with the conditions that apply to Adobe’s Creative Suite, you can definitely speak of competitive prices.
New AI features in media apps
Final Cut Pro gets full-text search in automatically created transcripts to find appropriate sound bites in long projects. Certain image content can also be discovered by entering text. Thanks to “Chord ID”, Logic Pro automatically recognizes chord progressions from audio or MIDI recordings and then creates a chord track from them. Apple also promises a new sound library and the “Synth Player”, a virtual helper for electronic music as an extension of the previous “AI Session Player”. By the way, there is another important announcement: Pixelmator Pro is making its way to the iPad.
Paid templates and AI features in iWork
The premium content mentioned for the iWork programs includes high-quality photos, graphics and illustrations as well as additional templates and themes. Image generation/editing via AI is also only available to subscribers; according to the description, Apple relies on generative models from OpenAI – here, too, they obviously failed to bring the existing in-house developments up to date. For the “Super Resolution” model, on-device calculation is used. In Keynote, using the paid functions, it is possible to create slides using text commands and you can also have notes created. In Numbers, artificial intelligence is supposed to automatically fill out tables and create formulas.
Free iWork apps and purchase apps remain
Apple is not discontinuing the previous purchase offers or the free iWork downloads; these continue to exist. However, you can probably see where we’re headed: more complex AI functions require a subscription – and even if Apple Intelligence doesn’t have a Plus offer, this doesn’t apply to features in programs.
