Final Cut Pro: Automatic subtitle generation
Apple is giving many of the apps it has now updated new capabilities in terms of artificial intelligence (AI). These are “dynamic enough for all creative applications,” according to the press release. For example, Final Cut Pro receives additional AI workflows, including for generating subtitles. The audio part of a video is automatically transcribed locally and inserted into the timeline. However, this currently only works with US English texts. Dynamic titles and customizable backgrounds are now also available. The Mac version of the video editing software also offers improved color matching and a new tool called Auto Mask, which isolates certain elements of the video footage and changes them if desired. The local AI recognizes, for example, hair, skin, leaves or clothing without manual intervention. Apple has also added additional features to the Motion and Compressor tools.

New to Final Cut Pro is a tool called Auto Mask.

Logic Pro: New synchronization mode and revised ChordID
Apple is giving the audio editing app Logic Pro a new producer project, among other things; this shows the complete session behind the track “Shoulda Never” by Khris Riddick-Tyne. Additionally, ChordID has been reworked to provide more precise analysis of harmonies. The result is “session players that react quickly and play chord changes more easily,” Apple said in the announcement of the updates. In addition, the new versions of Logic Pro and MainStage have a new granular synchronization mode.
Individual apps are becoming more closely connected to one another
With the updates, Apple has also advanced the networking of apps. Final Cut Pro is now able to send individual frames of a video to Pixelmator Pro. Pages, Numbers and Keynote offer the ability to select images contained in a document and then edit them directly in Pixelmator Pro. The changes made are then automatically incorporated into the respective document. However, this function is only available to users of the paid subscription versions. Vectorized shapes can also be easily generated in the three iWork apps. Pages is now able to automatically separate the syllables of words as you type.
Apps are available as a subscription or as a one-time purchase
The apps included in the Apple Creator Studio are available as a subscription for 12.99 euros per month or 129.00 euros annually. Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor and MainStage are still available individually as a one-time purchase. The free editions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote are still available.
