
Antigua and Barbuda is preparing for eleven days of non-stop music, culture and celebration as Antigua Carnival 2026 takes over the island from July 25 to August 4. Visitors can expect vibrant parades, international soca stars, steelpan, calypso and unforgettable Caribbean festivities under the theme “Feel the Rhythm.”
ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – The countdown has officially begun as Antigua and Barbuda prepares to welcome visitors from around the world Antigua Carnival 2026the Caribbean’s Greatest Summer Festival, taking place July 25 to August 4.
With just one month to go, excitement is building for eleven unforgettable days of music, culture, masquerade, and non-stop festivities under this year’s vibrant theme, “Feel the Rhythm.”
The annual festival promises to transform Antigua and Barbuda into an island-wide celebration, where the sounds of steelpan, calypso, and soca fill the streets, colorful masqueraders captivate spectators, and a packed calendar of events keeps the energy flowing from sunrise until long after sunset.
“Antigua Carnival 2026 invites the world to ‘Feel the Rhythm’ as we host the Caribbean’s Greatest Summer Festival,” said Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission Chair, Ambassador Elizabeth Makhoul.
“Visitors can immerse themselves in the heartbeat of Antigua and Barbuda through vibrant celebrations, energetic performances of steelpan, soca, calypso, mas, and authentic cultural experiences that capture the true rhythm of the Caribbean.
“Antigua Carnival is more than a festival; it’s a rhythm you feel, a culture you experience, and memories you carry long after the music fades. As we celebrate this year, we also pave the road to Carnival 70, a historic milestone awaiting us in 2027.”
The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority is encouraging travelers to take advantage of the destination’s unique blend of cultural festivities and world-renowned beaches, making Carnival an ideal summer escape.
Chief Marketing Officer Charmaine Spencer said Antigua Carnival offers visitors the opportunity to experience the twin-island nation at its liveliest.

This year’s program features many of Carnival’s signature events, including the official Opening of Carnival and T-Shirt Mas, Junior Carnival, J’ouvert, the spectacular Carnival Monday and Tuesday Parade of the Bands, and the traditional Last Lap finale.
Music lovers can also look forward to an impressive line-up of performances and competitions celebrating the best of Caribbean talent. One of the festival’s most anticipated events, ‘Face Off: Antigua vs. Dominica,’ will see Antigua and Barbuda’s legendary Burning Flames take on Dominica’s acclaimed bouyon powerhouse Triple K International.

Regional soca stars Patricia Roberts, Machel Montano, Voice, Skinny Fabulousetc Muddy are also set to headline major performances alongside Antigua and Barbuda’s own Tian Winter and Tizzyduring the Panorama steelpan competition, Party Monarch and Calypso Monarch contests will showcase the island’s rich musical heritage and emerging talent.
