Being constantly available has long been part of my life – and that’s a good thing! Whether I’m calling, chatting, streaming or surfing: my digital devices enable me to work more efficiently, stay connected and make my everyday life more flexible. But I realized that I have to use the many possibilities of the digital world cleverly so that they enrich my everyday life and don’t burden it. Here are my best tips on how to do this.
Choose the right tools and tariffs
No matter whether I’m traveling or working at home, a stable and reliable connection is essential for me. I’ve gotten into the habit of regularly checking whether my tariff still fits my lifestyle. For me, it’s important to be able to call, surf or stream on the go without having to worry about the limits.
The right tools also play a big role:
- With cloud services like Google Drive, I always have my most important files with me, whether for work or leisure.
- Data saving apps help me to optimize my data consumption – especially when I’m on the road for a longer period of time.
- Signal amplifiers or WiFi repeaters ensure that I have good reception even in the most remote corners of my apartment.
My tip: You should take the time to check your own tools and tariffs more often. There are often new offers that fit better or simply offer more convenience.
Set priorities and plan cleverly
I love staying in touch with others digitally, but I’ve learned to prioritize. Instead of constantly reacting to new notifications, I plan fixed times for emails, chats or phone calls. This helps me keep track of things and not always feel like I’m missing something important.
I have also organized my email inbox so that urgent messages are immediately visible and less important inquiries can be processed later. This saves time and nerves. Sometimes a short, clear answer is enough – not every message has to be long and detailed. And if I want something quicker or more personal, I like to use voice messages or a video call.
At the same time, I have gotten into the habit of consciously building in communication-free times. I use these moments to be creative, do sports or simply relax.
Use multitasking sensibly and use digital support
I admit: multitasking is not always easy. But there are situations where it really makes my life easier. I like to listen to inspiring podcasts while I cook, or I combine a video call with a walk in the park.
Digital tools have also become indispensable for me. They help me organize my everyday life better, discover new hobbies or work through my to-do list. When I want to relax, I use streaming services – they are not only entertainment, but often also a great source of inspiration for new recipes, DIY projects or travel ideas.
I think it’s about finding a balance: multitasking should be helpful and not make me feel overwhelmed.
Use smart connections for social contacts
Thanks to digital possibilities, I always stay connected to the people who are important to me – regardless of whether they live nearby or are far away. Here are a few things that work particularly well for me:
- I have regularly introduced virtual rituals with my friends, such as video chats over a cup of coffee or digital game nights. This gives us a feeling of closeness, even if we can’t meet in person.
- When I’m on the go, my availability remains flexible. Thanks to roaming regulations, I can surf and make calls abroad just as I can at home. This makes traveling so much more relaxing for me.
- Streaming together is a highlight for me. I watch series or films with my friends at the same time and talk about them during or after.
With the right tools and a little creativity, even digital closeness often feels just as intense as a face-to-face meeting.
Accessibility as a lifestyle boost
For me, the digital world is not a stress factor, but a tool that enriches my everyday life. If I am aware of how I handle my devices and use the right tools, I can live more flexibly, efficiently and, above all, more relaxed.
Maybe this will be an inspiration for you too: Use your digital accessibility to design your life according to your wishes – and make the most of every moment!
