Sugar failed, but Gorillas founder Kağan Sümer is already working on the next startup. In addition to software for personal trainers, he is working on a digital startup factory.
Kağan Sümer’s health startup Sugar has failed in its previous form, reports Manager Magazin. But he already has new plans, as he reveals in a podcast.
After leaving the delivery service, the Gorillas founder wanted to change industries and start up again. The new company initially launched under the name Mirror Labs and was originally intended to offer blood tests.
Expensive team and no further financing
The app, which was launched in spring 2025 as a social network for health and fitness topics, is now no longer available in the app stores. According to the Manager Magazine report, almost all employees have left the company and investors have written off their commitment internally.
“We made a lot of mistakes, but I had a great team,” says Sümer in the Founder Mode podcast with founder and investor Feliks Eyser. His team was top-class, but also very expensive.

An app for personal trainers and new AI project
Sümer confirms a change of strategy to Manager Magazin and wants to continue using the existing corporate shell of Mirror Labs GmbH, or Sugar – for a platform called last-rep.app. Behind it is a web app for personal trainers that, among other things, is intended to enable appointment scheduling and payment processing. The application is already live. According to the company, over 500 trainers would use this application.
In the podcast with Feliks Eyser, Sümer also talks about his future plans. In the past few months he has spent a lot of time with AI and vibe coding via Lovable, built numerous applications and, according to his own statements, was caught in “a trap of constant building” for eight months.
“Go absolutely f***ing nuts”
His latest project is called Nutz.Inc: Sümer is building a digital factory using AI agents that companies will produce automatically, he explains in an interview with Eyser. His goal is to build 100,000 companies in the next three years. Students should then have the opportunity to take on responsibility for individual companies as solopreneurs.

So far, a founder’s manifesto can be found online on the Nutz.Inc website – a combination of humanism, anti-conformism and AI euphoria. The slogan: “Go absolutely f***ing nuts.”
However, the manifesto is less about autonomous companies and more about an attitude towards technology, creativity and humanity. With the message: Use AI as a tool, but don’t give up on humanity.
