N26
+++ Profitability achieved! The Berlin smartphone bank N26 In 2025, for the first time in its company history, it closed an entire financial year with a profit. The bottom line was a surplus of 1.6 million euros – after a loss of 42 million in the previous year. At the same time, sales rose to more than 500 million euros and customer deposits climbed to over 10.5 billion. The profit is an important milestone for N26: After years of high losses and regulatory restrictions from BaFin, the FinTech seems to be getting on the right track operationally. The distance to the European industry leader Revolut remains huge, however. While N26 has 5.6 million revenue-relevant customers, Revolut now serves around 75 million users worldwide. For N26, profitability is just the beginning of the next growth phase. (Trending Topics) More about N26

Nimble
+++ Profitability has its price! At the Berlin fast delivery service Nimble According to information from manager magazin, around a quarter of the jobs at headquarters will be eliminated. At the same time, the company is restructuring its organization and is placing greater emphasis on automation and more efficient structures, particularly in the tech sector. Flink only raised another $100 million in the spring and, according to its own information, achieved profitability on an EBITDA basis. However, the current cuts show that even the survivors of the quick commerce boom must consistently align their organization with efficiency and sustainable profitability. More about Flink

GMPVC
+++ Media-for-Equity meets Creator Economy! The Berlin media-for-equity investor German Media Pool (GMPVC) is expanding its model to include Creator Media. The investor will cooperate with this in the future NextGen Innovators (NGI). In the future, consumer startups will no longer only be able to grow through TV, radio, print and out-of-home, but also through creators and influencers. The cooperation shows how the classic media-for-equity model is evolving: reach is no longer just created in traditional media, but increasingly on social media. GMPVC’s portfolio includes companies such as About You, GoStudent, Clark, momox, Wellster and Grover. More about GMPVC

Manuel Neuer
+++ World champion with healthy investments! Record national goalkeeper Manuel Neuer relies on a manageable portfolio in the startup scene with a focus on health, lifestyle and consumer products. One of his best-known investments is Vaha. The Berlin company developed a smart fitness mirror and was acquired by the British health tech company bioniq in 2022. In addition, the 2014 world champion has invested in companies such as Alrighty, Health Yeah, Polly, purewave, Rad Race and VoteBase. Neuer recently caused a stir with Primeplay. Together with Jan Driessen and André Albert, he is currently building modern padel clubs in Germany. More about startup investments from soccer world champions
