There is a spring lull on the German labor market. Demand for workers has generally fallen slightly across industries since the beginning of the year – most notably in white-collar jobs, says Frank Hensgens, Managing Director of Indeed Germany. These careers include jobs in customer service, sales or administration.
According to the labor market expert, there are several reasons for the decline: “The main drivers are ongoing geopolitical uncertainties, rising costs and a general reluctance to invest. Structural location factors such as high costs and bureaucracy further reinforce this development.”
