The most popular coffee flavor cocktails
There are many ways to enjoy coffee these days. Are you the type of person who gets up in the morning and makes a cup of coffee before doing anything else?
For many of us, coffee is a morning ritual. We use our espresso machine to get us going in the morning, but you can also enjoy coffee in the evening – as the perfect drink to relax with a delicious coffee cocktail.
The connection between coffee and alcohol is nothing new, and there are plenty of exciting drinks to try, no matter what type of cocktail you typically prefer. Let’s take a look at some of the most popular coffee flavored cocktails.
Irish coffee

Irish Coffee is a classic cocktail and also one of the easiest to make. You might just add a little whiskey to your espresso machine coffee to create this delicious cocktail. Some people add whiskey to already made coffee – this can be any type of coffee.
To refine the cocktail even more, we recommend preheating the glass, then adding whiskey and syrup before adding the coffee. Then pour some cream over the back of a preheated spoon so that it floats nicely on top of the coffee. If you like, you can garnish it with some Demerara sugar or nutmeg.
Espresso Martini

The Espresso Martini has many different origin stories. Some say it comes from the USA, others say it was created in Italy. However, it is widely believed that famous bartender Dick Bradsell invented it in a London bar in the 1980s.
Whatever the history of this cocktail, one thing is for sure: it is one of the most impressive and delicious coffee cocktails.
The Espresso Martini is easy to make: Mix 1 part vodka with â…” part Kahlua (or another coffee liqueur), then add â…” part espresso and lots of ice. Shake everything together in a cocktail shaker.
Once it’s ready, you can garnish it with a few coffee beans – and you’ll have a delicious, frothy cocktail that will keep you awake all evening. Espresso Martinis are the perfect pick-me-up for an evening out.
Cold Brew Negroni

Now let’s move on to a drink that has become enormously popular in recent years. The Cold Brew Negroni has gained a lot of popularity as more and more people discover how delicious cold brew is – a drink that is now also very trendy.
Here is the recipe to make this cocktail:
- Ice
- 1.5 ounces cold brew
- 1 ounce rum or gin
- 0.5 ounces Campari
- 0.5 ounces Sweet Vermouth
- Orange zest
First, you should use cold brew (either make it yourself or buy it at the store). You can also use concentrate diluted with water.
Then add Campari to create a slight bitterness – but don’t overdo it. Next comes the sweet vermouth, which balances the flavors perfectly. 0.5 ounces is completely sufficient here.
Now you can add rum or gin to give the cocktail the right kick. Rum is unusual here, but works surprisingly well. Stir everything together with ice cubes and your drink is ready.
Summary
More and more people are choosing coffee cocktails on the go. They’re stylish and a great way to enjoy the night without feeling too much of the sleepy effects of alcohol.
If you’re throwing a dinner party, an Irish coffee or even an espresso martini is the perfect drink to wow your guests and ensure they’re still conversation starters throughout the evening.
As coffee becomes increasingly mainstream in the world of cocktails, there are many other exciting drinks you can try. In this post, we’ve just mentioned a few of the most popular – but lesser-known drinks like the Café Correcto con Coco are also exciting and very impressive to serve.
