Cologne and the surrounding area are a good place to live, celebrate and start a business. In the past few weeks and months, exciting new startups have emerged in the cathedral city. Some of these companies are presented here.

Justima
Justima from Cologne, founded by Alexander Lilienbeck and Christian Braun, is all about regulatory monitoring for companies. “The platform analyzes more than 200 legal and regulatory sources every day and only delivers business-relevant changes to each company,” says the start-up company, a spin-off from Osborne Clarke.

manugy
The young company manugy is working on modular production systems for tailor-made battery cells. “Our turnkey solutions combine product, process, and engineering expertise, empowering companies to bring innovative chemistries like sodium-ion and solid-state to market faster,” explains the company founded by Christoph Baum, Toni Voebel and Simon Lux.

Zulio
Zulio from Cologne takes care of digital vehicle registrations. This is a “software that relieves you of the manual work, gives you an overview at all times and organizes your registrations completely digitally, including a connection to the major customer interface of the Federal Motor Transport Authority,” says the team of founders Levent Ersen and Emir Julius Adler.

Luure
The startup Luure from Cologne, founded by Christian Imhoff, Johannes Melsbach and Oliver Rath, relies on the analysis of image and video data from satellites, LiDAR systems and drones using AI. The computer vision solutions are intended to support companies in construction, infrastructure, agriculture and industry to analyze processes and make data-based decisions.

Carl
Behind the startup Carl, founded by Pirmin Bönsch and Paul Hofer, is an AI telephone assistant for car dealerships and workshops. “Carl adapts to your existing systems, not the other way around. Whether DMS, workshop planner or calendar: calls, appointments and customer information automatically end up where they belong,” is the idea.
